Farmers' Markets
Farmers' markets are a great way of buying direct from local producers - you can chat to them about how their food is produced, which means you can avoid GM food and talk about any other concerns you might have. You'll find a great choice of meat, vegetables, fish, pies, cakes, soups, cheeses, apple juice, wines, beer and fruit - and more!
Buying from a farmers' market also means buying fruit and vegetables in season - which is much healthier, and cheaper as vital vitamins and minerals are lost when food travels huge distances.
Sadly, Downend Farmers' Market has now closed. UWE
farmers' market is on the first Tuesday of the month from 10am - 3pm in term
time and can be found in the main reception courtyard, Frenchay.
